The difference between four-wheel drive forklift and two wheel drive forklift views:54

Off road forklift is a forklift with four-wheel drive capability. Due to its low chassis, this forklift can travel on rough and uneven roads while also adapting to various working environments.

Off road forklifts generally use fuels such as diesel and natural gas as their power sources; Its body structure is usually in the form of a front axle and a rear axle; The cab generally adopts a fully enclosed flat cockpit or a semi enclosed sloping cockpit; Most engines use gasoline or diesel engines as power sources (some off-road forklifts also use hybrid power systems consisting of gasoline engines and electric motors); The transmission system mostly adopts two types: mechanical transmission device and hydraulic mechanical automatic transmission device.

The main differences between the commonly seen four-wheel drive and two wheel drive off-road forklifts on the market are:

(1) Different engine power:

The power of a four-wheel drive engine is slightly higher than that of a two wheel drive engine.

(2) Different gearboxes:

A four-wheel drive gearbox is much more complex and costly than a two wheel drive gearbox. For example, there are two types of manual transmission models: 5-speed manual transmission and 6-speed manual transmission. The 6-speed manual transmission is much more expensive than the regular 5-speed manual transmission!

(3) Different tire specifications:

Generally speaking, the tire specifications used in 4WD models are larger than those used in 2WD models, and the tire specifications used in 2WD models are smaller than those used in 4WD models! Of course, the specific details still depend on the configuration table provided by the manufacturer!
